Very often, we hear people say "say say only'" or "think think only, cannot meh ?'". Well have you come across in your mind whatever you say or whatever you think can be sensed and responsed by water content in our body. And do you remember 75% of our body is make of water substance? If you don't watch your words, somebody will watch over you, LOL.

My Gifts

That day, Ronald was celebrating his 5 years old birthday. His dad brought in a box and gave it to him. His dad said to him, ‘My son, this is the gift for you. Remember, this gift can give you happines.'

Ronald was very happy that his dad has given him a birthday gift. He hold the box in his hand tight and kept shouting out, ‘Happiness is inside this gift!’, repeated and repeated while he hopped around.

Suddenly, his mother shouted out to him, ‘Dinner’s time !’

'Alright, let me keep my gift first !’ Robert put his gift inside a drawer.

For years, Robert has forgotten about the gift that his dad has given him. In fact, every year, whenever Robert did his spring cleaning, he would have seen it but he was like being hypnotised in a trance state. He saw it yet could not see it. Every year, he just pushed his gift aside.

Finally one year, he saw it again and decided to open the box. It was interesting that inside the box, there were 4 sealed envelopes. However, Robert thought it was nothing and conveniently threw it into the dustbin.

Robert never see his gift anymore; neither did he find it or remember about this gift.

In life, everyone have brought along this gift when we come to this world. This gift gives us happiness. With this gift, we will find life more meaningful. And it is always inside us. We just need to discover it, find it and love it.

However, there are people who choose to put it inside their drawers when they find it. Robert saw it but never open it and use it. Some are often distracted though is already in our hands. Remember Robert's mother shouted at him for dinner and he got distracted and the gift ended up in thre drawer? There are some who throw it away. Trash it ! Destroy it in our own hands.

What is inside those envelopes ?

The first envelopes says, ENJOY YOUR PRESENT. Yes, just be thankful with what you have now and enjoy every moments you breathe. Everything, everyone, every happenings; are our presents.

The second envelope writes, LEARN FROM OUR PAST. You may be enjoying your life every moment but you still do not find real happiness. You begin to ask yourself WHY ! Well, that is the time you have to start recalling and learn from your past. What have you done and can you do better? Why am I not as happy as my neighbours next door?

Well, you may be enjoying your life. You have learnt from your past. And yet, you are still not feeling happy. What must you do now? The third envelope says, PLAN YOUR FUTURE. Oh yes, many people do that. Many people do their planning.

You still may not find happiness. You still do not know what to do. So the forth envelope says, HAVE A MISSION IN LIFE AND DO WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO. Yes, think what you want to achieve in life. And you start to work for it. When you have achieved your mission in life, you will feel happy. You will feel satisfaction. You will feel life is meaningful !

If Ronald have done what he was supposed to do, open up his birthday present, do not throw it into his drawer, he would have found happiness earlier than most people.  So remember to do whatever you are supposed to do now, immediately !

We all walk on this earth for only once. Let us find the gifts that have been planned for us and find happiness and make a watermark in our lives. Do remember, every gifts are inside us. We just need to find it, discover it, open it and use it !

'Good or Bad, hard to say'

Once upon a time, there was a king. The king liked one of his followers very much because he was very wise and always gave very useful advice. Therefore the king took him along wherever he went.

One day, the king was bitten by a dog, the finger was injured and the wound was getting worse. He asked the follower if that was a bad sign.

The follower said, Good or Bad, hard to say'. In the end, the finger of the king was too bad that had to be cut.

The king asked the follower again if that was a bad sign. Again, the follower gave the same answer, 'Good or Bad, hard to say'. The king became very angry and sent the follower to prison.

One day, the king went hunting in the jungle. He got excited when he was on the chase of a deer. Deeper and deeper he went inside the jungle. In the end he found himself lost in the jungle. To make thing worse, he got captured by the native people who lived inside the jungle. They wanted to sacrifice him to their god. But when they noticed that the king had one finger short, they released him immediately as he was not a perfect man anymore and not suitable for sacrifice. The king managed to get back to his palace after all. And he finally understood the follower's wise quote, 'Good or Bad, hard to say'. If he hadn't lost one finger, he could have been killed by the native people.

He ordered to release the follower, and apologized to him. But to the king’s amazement, the follower was not mad at him at all. Instead, the follower said, 'It wasn't a bad thing that you locked me up.' Why? Because if the king hadn't locked the follower up, he would have brought the follower along to the jungle. If the native found that the king was not suitable, they would have used the follower. Again, the quote 'Good or Bad, hard to say' stands.

The moral of the story:
Everything that happens in this world, there is no absolute good or bad. Sometimes good things turned out to be bad things eventually, while bad things become a gain.

Whatever good things that happen to you, enjoy it, but don't have to hold too tight to it, treat it as a surprise in your life.

Whatever bad things that happen to you, don't have to feel too sad or despair, in the end, it might not be a total bad thing after all.

If one can understand this, he or she will find life much easier.

S.C.O.R.E. Model

Every living person has problems. A problem is never a problem. The model or ways we use to solve the problem is the real problem. There are many ways and tactic to solve a problem. However, I particularly prefer the S.C.O.R.E. model and think it is effective yet simple and straightforward to try solving a problem.

S – Symptoms
C – Cause
O – Outcome
R – Recourses
E – Effect

This S.C.O.R.E. model is unique in a way that it touches on the effect of any decision we will make.

Let us put up a case study. Peter has 2 girlfriends, Cheryl and Mindye. He likes both of them and he cannot decide who he loves more and can live for life happily. Let us try to solve his problem using the S.C.O.R.E. model as follows :

Symptom - He is troubled because he does not feel good to be a 2-timer dating 2 girlfiriends at the same time
Cause - He loves Cheryl since young but recently met Mindye, whom now he find himself truely love

Outcome - He wants to make a decisive choice so he stay loyal to 1 girl only
Resourses - He can give himself more time to know the girls better and also know who he loves more. He can find out which of the girls he is happy with everytime he dates them. He can consult his parents for advice. He can talk to the girls and test them individually. He can check his peace of mind if he 'assume' a decision made. He can find alternative such as letting go both girls and find a new love

Effect. If he choose any of them, he will hurt the other and may even lose friendship. If he will to let go both of them, he has to prepare to hurt both and lose both relationship. He may have to live with regrets, if any, throughout his whole life

After asking these questions and getting answer from Peter himself, as a NLP coach, we will let him decide and not give him our answers.

I become

I happened to chat with one of my customer and she said something I really want to share with you. Quote her : I want, I will, I am and I become. Yes, this is the right attitude for anything that we want to do and wish to do. If you have set a goal, this is what it takes to get your goal fulfilled and wish come true.

The Bunny and Tortoise Race

Lion witnesses the race between the Bunny and Tortoise. Lion says to both racers, “Now, both of you have prepared for the race for some time and hope both are ready. Before you start, I would like to give both of you four envelopes each. Carry these four envelopes with you and start finding them when you start your journey.”

As usual, Bunny starts to run fast while the Tortoise struggles behind. Bunny reaches the river side and there is this female Tiger waiting for him. She gives Bunny a bowl of soup to drink.

Tiger says to Bunny, “Take this drink and you will not remember anything, then you start your journey. Just remember, you have four envelopes with you.”

Then after, Bunny is asked to look at her hand and closes his eyes and relaxes. “When count to 3, you will be back and open your eyes”, Tiger says to Bunny.

Tiger says the same thing to Tortoise when he reaches the river side.

When Tortoise opens his eyes, he is in another world. The doctor slaps his back-side and he cries out loud for the first time. Oh, he knows this is anchoring. By crying loud, people around him will know he needs attention.

Tortoise's journey in life is really a challenging one. One day, he really feels he needs to be a useful person. He visits the temple and asks “Oh God, please give me the wisdom and tell me how to lead a useful life.”

Suddenly, he hears a voice talking to him. “My dear son, remember I gave you four envelopes before your started your journey?”

Tortoise wakes up suddenly and realizes he needs to find his envelopes. He spends years and finally finds his first envelope in the backyard of his house. Opens up, he sees a piece of paper written, “Treasure and enjoy your Present moments

He starts to make full use of his present days but that does not give him a better life. Then he starts to look for his 2nd envelope. One day, he finds it under his bed and the piece of paper in the envelope reads, “Learn from your Past.”

He thinks about his past and makes some adjustment. Yet, he still cannot find his happiness. He begins to find his third envelope and surprisingly, he finds it between one of his books. The papers in it says, “Plan your future.”

The Tortoise does everything and has some achievement. Yet he is not contented and remembers he has his last envelope. While he is in deep thought, his hand feels something in his pocket and he takes it out. Oh, it's an envelope. He opens up and there is a piece of paper that reads, “Set a life mission.”

Thereafter, the Tortoise enjoys and finds successes in his life

He has fathered 3 children by now and he knows he needs to be a good father; and be a good employee in the company he is working in.

Eighty years has passed and one day, he tells his grand child, “Remember, everyone has all the ready resourses to success. I find all the envelopes inside the house I have been living since young. And the last envelope was found in my pocket.”

Tortoise closes his eyes.

When he wakes up, he finds himself reading a book, a book written about his life. He finds his happiness and success. He has no regrets. Lion is standing in front of him and the Lion says, “Welcome back, you have completed your journey and done a lot of contribution to mankind. You are happy and successful because you find the four envelopes earlier than Bunny; who has never found any of them. Tortoise, my son, you have won the race.”

Supper or stay hungry?

Robert was walking down the lane one day in the night. He wanted to buy himself some supper from a stall across the street as he was hungry. The night was so dark that he could not see an uncovered manhole. He fell into the hole and injured himself. It was a bad experience for him.

Some 2 weeks later. He felt hungry again and really wanted to get himself a loaf of bread. However, he decided to stay home because he did not want to fall into the manhole again. He could not sleep as he had an empty stomach that night.

Does our past experience help us to believe we can do better in the future or help us to prove we will not succeed? Do we have a choice?

Many people know that a SJ often makes decision and judgment based on his or her past experience as well as experience by others.

Well, it is definitely a safe move as it will not let them fall again. Let me put across the same question from another perspective. Does that help us to make a correct decision?

If we look at things based on our past experience and decide to improve on it so to make it work better this time, I guess it does help us to get nearer to our goals and see eventual success.

If we decide to base our past experience and start proving it will not work at all and abort the plan, we will lose an opportunity to succeed.

While it takes a person with great wisdom to learn from past experiences; being pre-framed with our past experience does not help us to grow further or even distance ourselves from success.

If Robert would learn from his past experience and carried a torchlight with him, he would have enjoyed a delicious supper and slept well that night.

I guess a SP would have gone out and fall into the manhole again..... And again......till they learn from an NT. An NT will analyze and find ways not to fall again.

If Robert were to tell himself, “I will be able to reach the stall this time,” will he try crossing the road again?

Will you want him to drink that can of Cola?

Do you think the tortoise will drink that can of Cola? If you think, you visualize and you act to prove, he will.

There were these 2 tortoises that were doing their exercise in the morning. After hours of practice, they decided to have a rest.

The elder tortoise took 2 cans of cola drinks that he bought earlier and handed over one to the junior tortoise. Then both enjoyed the refreshing cola drinks. The elder tortoise had a bigger mouth, thus finished his drink first. He thought it was a good idea to have more as he still felt thirsty. He said to the junior, “Brother, please help me to go over to the opposite and buy me another can of cola.”

The junior tortoise headed up and looked at the senior tortoise with distrust, “No, no, no, no, no, no.......you will drink my remaining can of Cola while I am away”

“Come on, do you think I will do that?” the senior tortoise reply.

“Huh.......well, alright, please make sure you will not touch my cola.” The junior crossed over the street.

The senior tortoise waited for the junior to return. He waited for more than 10 minutes and could not see his brother returning. Then 30 minutes passed and yet to see any sign of the junior tortoise.

The senior tortoise was beginning to feel that the junior tortoise would not return anymore as 1 hour has passed. And he decided to finish up junior tortoise's remaining can of drink since he thought his brother would not return.

Just when he lifted up the can for Cola, the junior tortoise emerged and shouted from behind, “See......I knew you would drink my Cola and I hid behind to see if I am correct.”

Is the tortoise a thinker or a prover? A thinker thinks and a prover proves. The junior tortoise acted to prove. And action makes it happen. Why not you think you will be a successful person rather than to prove you are a failure?

I think you will read this and I acted to write. I will not want to prove you would not read. If I am a prover, I would not have written this.

"My past experience tells me you will surely drink up my can of coke while I am away." the junior tortoise said.

Does our past experience help us to believe we can do better in future or help us to prove we will not succeed?

Are we willing to be a winner ?

The Gifts

Everyone brings along some Gifts when they are born into this world. These Gifts are given to us so to equip us to lead a fruitful and meaningful life. However, importantly these gifts help us to find our purpose in life.

These Gifts need to be discovered. Some discover their Gift earlier and therefore enjoy their success earlier. Some discover it late and will still enjoy their fruits; later.

However, some is not able to find their Gift throughout their life. Please do not let this happen to us.

Receiving these Gifts mean we are empowered to use them usefully so to glorify these Gifts. Let us open and say we love this Gift! We love this Gift!

Let us not waste it. Let us not ignore them. Let us not trash it into the bin. Let us not abuse them. Let us love it !

All Gifts will have an expiry date. If we do not use and glorify them, these Gifts may be taken away from us. When we use these Gifts usefully, these Gifts will be in us and with us forever.

Goal Setting

After receiving this Gift, we are ready to set goals. There are some formulas to setting goals. In order to have our goals achieved easily, goals have to be positive, ecological, compelling, with evidence, satisfying our VAK, within our context, ready recourses and self fulfilling.

Beside having the above mentioned, there are still people who will take a longer time to achieve their goals or never. Why? It is because they are not willing to achieve their goals. They are not willing to carry the responsibilty of a successful person. Or they are not willing to live with the effect of achieving the reward of these successful goals.

Are you willing? Do you think you are prepared? Do you think you are qualified ? Do you think you are good enough to be a successful person ? Or are you fit enough to keep this reward, carry this responsibility and has the recourses to live with the effect? Do you think you are willing to enjoy success?

Are you afraid to be successful? Are you frightened to be successful? Do you? Or are you just daydreaming; or just reckon it is achievable; or you are willing to achieve? Let us all put ourselves in action.

We must believe we can do it. We must be willing to do it. YES, I do.

Hero Journey

With goals set, you will start your hero journey. That is when you will drive to become a successful person. The journey will not be smooth as every successful destination is routed with tests before reaching final point. If you are willing to enjoy every obstacle taht is along the route and fight through, you will reach the final. And at final point, you will start to share around your rewards and Gifts. You will help the society, people around us, share with them your experience, your fruits and your joy.

Remember, there is no failure; only feedbacks.

Always remember, we have all the ready resourses in us to find success. When we find our first Gift, we have to look out for more Gifts to enjoy our first Gift.

HA, let us be hunger for more Gifts.

The Present

We have been talking about our Gifts in us. How does this Gift look like? How do they sound? How do they look like? Can you feel it?

In most time, we see them in front of us and yet cannot see them. We hear them telling us what to do and yet cannot hear them. We feel their hands holding on to us when we are falling and yet cannot feel them.

Thus we need to be very alert, open our eyes, open our ears and open up our senses to find them. Recognise them.

What are Gifts actually? Your talent, your intelligence, your recourses, your knowledge, your happiness........

What are Gifts actually? Your friends, your family, your pets....

Hey my friend, what are Gifts actually? Your PRESENT. Whatever is happening presently is your GIFTS.

So what are my Gifts?.......my everything? My time? My Life?

Do not delay what you should do today........because another Gift is waiting for you tomorrow.

Look at the person in your left and right and they are your Gifts. Look at everything you have in your life today, they are your Gifts. Look at all the things you had lost, they were your Gifts and you had lost them.

Is everything we have are good Gifts? In another definition. A priceless Gift should be something you can brightly visualize with a smile, you hear at least 3 people telling you that it is good and you feel really comfortable receiving it. From another angle, it is something that fit beautifully in our VAK. Do you think fitting into our VAK is also important in setting our goals?

Can we have many goals? Yes, we can. Because when we discover our Gift, use them meaningfully, we will be able to find more Gifts.....

If our Gifts can talk, they will tell us to use them, share them and duplicate them so more people can have these Gifts.

Let us all be the best Gifts to all people around us........fit into their VAK. And everyone enjoys the Gift of Love.....

A case Study

Case :
Michelle quarreled with Nancy 6 years ago. Michelle and Nancy thus ended their 15 years friendship. Today, after 6 years, Michelle is still haunted with this incident and still find it difficult to forgive Nancy.

Task :
To help Michelle to revisit the incident and look at the incident from a different perspective.

Solutions :
First we ask Michelle to picture Nancy is in front of her. At this point, Michelle has to ‘tell’ Michelle what she has in her mind and what she is not happy with Nancy. We need to guide Michelle to say out all that she wants to tell Nancy and explains why she was angry with her.

Second, we ask Michelle to put herself in the role of Nancy. This time, in the role of Nancy, she has to tell ‘Michelle’ why she wanted to argue with her, all the things she was unhappy with ‘Michelle’.

Third, we get Michelle to play the role of a ‘judge’. In the role of the ‘judge’, after listening to the arguments by 2 parties, he needs to judge and advice both parties.

Forth, Michelle puts her herself in the role of a GOD. GOD gives advice to the judge and advice the judge to be fair when doing the judgment. Then GOD give advice to Nancy and follow by advice to Michele.

Fifth, the judge, equipped with the wisdom of the GOD, will advice Nancy and Michelle respectively.

Sixth, Nancy, with the wisdom of GOD and judge, will now ‘tell and forgive’ Michelle.

Seventh, now back to herself Michelle, after going through these series of role-plays and revisiting the issue from different perspective. Now she understands Nancy better and understands why and how this issue had happened. Michelle at this point will know how to tell Nancy that we sometimes can :

1) Agree to disagree
2) Respect each other point of views
3) There are always more then 3 solutions to all issues
4) Be flexible to accept different suggestions
5) All disagreement is feedbacks
6) Can break the issues into smaller parts so to solve the problem easier

Result :
Finally, Michelle should be able to tell Nancy that nothing is more important than their long friendship and no opportunity should be contained to pull their friendship apart. Let’s forgive and forgets and let the friendship move on to a higher height.

Simply NLP

From young, I have been leading a simple life and I enjoy being simple.

And NLP is teaching us just that...........simple.

It is simpler to stay happy and enjoy all moments in life than to be haunted by sadness.
It is simpler to make full use of our Gift than not to use and hide them.
It is simpler to do things right than to undo the wrongs.

A wise man has simple solutions and a wiser man has ONE simpler solution.

And NLP is teaching us just that...........simple.

After going through the simple NLP course, I gain knowledge on how to get back to our simple senses. And we are simply getting back our simplicity in life.

And NLP is teaching us just that...........simple.

Happiness is simple.
Successes are simple.

And now I have found another Gift........just a SIMPLE gift.

There is just one simple rule in life; and is just to follow these simple rules.

Life is simply simple, so why look for alternatives?

The fan blows off the soup box...........

Do we need to simplify this message?

The Soup Factory

This soup factory recently received numerous complaints about buyers getting some boxes without the soup inside. Thus the 6 team members assembled in a meeting to discuss for a solution. We shall call these 6 members, Mr Red, Mr Black, Mr Green, Mr Yellow, Mr White and Mr Blue respectively.

Each contributed their effort. Finally Mr Green suggested of inventing a machine with an x-ray camera so that when these soup boxes passed though the conveyor belt, the camera could detect all empty boxes. Mr Yellow loved this idea and was saying they could even sell this machine if it was successful. Mr Red had the gut to believe this could work well. However, Mr Black thought it would not succeed as there were no similar machine in the market and by past experience, it should not work well. Mr White volunteered to gather all information and researches. So Mr Blue, did the planning and make sure the whole process went smoothly.

Some 2 years later, the machine was neatly placed beside the conveyer belt and was smartly detecting every empty box that passed through.

Complaints dropped to ZERO.

The floor cleaner Mr SP came into the room and was surprised to see a new machine in the room. ‘Hey, that’s a great machine, what's it for?’

“This machine is our latest invention and cost us 17 millions to put all the parts together.” Mr Green said proudly, “and I am the one who invented it !”

Mr SP inspected the machine closely, “great, but what is it for?”

Mr Yellow said, “Well, to reduce the chance for those soup boxes passing through the finishing line empty.”

Mr SP went around the conveyer belt, “huh, 17 million dollars for this machine?". He saw a standing fan at the corner of the room took it and placed it next to the belt. When the fan started blowing, some empty boxes began to blow off the belt.

“Ah huh, aren't the problem solved and just need a simple solution?’ SP pronounced.

Can we simplify this story?

Script for Elman-Banyan Rapid Hypnotic Induction

Get your client/subject in a comfortable position. Ask them if they would like to do hypnosis with you. Ask for permission to touch your client’s arm or hand.

“Take a look at my hand. Take a nice deep breath and hold it. Now let it out and let your eyes close.”

“Now, take your attention to your eye lids. You can relax your eyelids so much they just won’t work. Once you are sure that you have done that, hold onto that relaxation. Now, check them to make sure they won’t work. Good; stop testing and go deeper relaxed. Now, send that feeling of relaxation down through your body, from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.”

“Now, I’m going to do a check to make sure you have understood and have followed my instructions. In a moment, I am going to lift your hand and drop it. Don’t help me lift it. Just let it be limp and relaxed. Let me do all of the lifting (Pick it up about 2 inches and drop it.) Good. Go deeper.”

“Human beings do better with practice, so let’s do that one more time and you will find that you can go even deeper. Take your attention to your eyelids and hold onto that relaxation. One more time, test them to make sure that they won’t work. Good; stop testing and go deeper. Now, send that entire body, from the top of your hand to the tips of your toes, as if you meant to go ten times deeper.”

“One more time…. Take your attention to your eyelids and just like before, test them to make sure they won’t work. Good; stop testing and go deeper relaxed. Now, send that feeling down across your body as if you mean to go two times deeper.”

“Now, let’s relax your mind. Really allow your mind to relax, like your body is relaxed. In a moment, I’m going to have you slowly and softly begin to count, starting with the number one. After each number, let your mind double its relaxation. After a few numbers, it doesn’t take long, you will be able to relax your mind so nicely that the numbers will fade away to nothing, nothing, nothing, and disappear. Want that – and you can have it very easily. When the numbers are gone, raise your right index finger to let me know how well you are doing.”

“Being…(Your client says, “One” Touch her on the shoulder and say...) Softer…
(Your client says, “Two”) Good. Slower.
(Your client says, “Three”) Now, double your mental relaxation
(Your client says, “Four”) Now, let them begin to fade away as you relax your mind.(Your client says, “Five”) Double your mental relaxation – fading away to nothing, nothing, nothing.
(When numbers are gone, say, “Good;go deeper.”)

“In a moment I’m going to count from one to five; with each number that I count, allow yourself to relax so much with each number that by the time I get to five, you will be as if you have doubled your relaxation.
One… Relaxation is beginning to double.
Two… Relaxation is doubling more and more.
Three… Relaxation is doubling throughout your entire body.
Four… Your Relaxation has almost doubled.
Five… The Relaxation has completely doubled from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.”

The Gift

Everyone carries a Gift. Some discover their Gifts earlier, some discover it late. The earlier the Gift is opened, the earlier they find their happiness and success. Some Gifts remain unwrapped forever. Some are unused. Some misuse their Gifts. Some give away their Gifts,

So what is this Gift?

Present, is the Gift. The Gift is the present. We should live fullest and meaningfully every minute now so to enjoy tomorrow. Our Gift is all that we have at present. The present is in our lives and our lives are our presents.

Remember when we were in schools, we were thought to set goals and yearly resolutions. How many do that after that piece of school assignment? If you have done it, did your resolutions come true?

If you do have some resolutions set, do look closely at it again. Have you included a reward resolution such as a holiday trip IF all the rest of the resolutions were met? It can also be an item you always want to buy for yourself. It may also be spending more time with your family.

Next, make up a list of actions to be taken to fulfill all the resolutions that you have set.

Now, do take a moment to list down what are the unfinished tasks that we always wanted to complete and yet not. In the list, do include a dateline for the tasks to complete.

Take a moment to read your resolutions, actions to be taken and your unfinished tasks. Do they match? If they do not, try doing something about it.

Remember; enjoy our present so to enjoy our future. Enjoy our present so to receive our success. Enjoy our present so to receive our happiness. Take a look at your Gift again. Have you discovered this Gift? Have you unwrapped the Gift? What do you plan to do with this Gift?

Keep this Gift, use this Gift and discover what this Gift can help us to achieve happiness and success.

If this Gift can talk?

6 Roles a CSP should play

Robert was reading a book about a legend happened in AD33, the night race between Bunny and the tortoise. He was pondering, why not we ride on this legend and have a night race? Thus the legend continues through AD2008………

However the media had another version and came out with a story about how a night race was decided. It reported that in a meeting between the officials and the committee members, the CEO was asking the racers to install cashcard readers so that when they pass through the gentry during the race, they will pay ERP fee subjected to local regulation. However, the cashcard reader will add weight to the motor and thus affecting the performance of the race. After hours of tough dialogues, the representative from commitee agreed to do the race at night when the ERP lights are put off and the racers do not need to start and stop at designated stands in the town area. What a relieve!

Whatever the legend is, with a legend, people will remember the race better. Do you have a legend to tell for your organisation?

The 6 members a team was formed and called themselves Sixth People. They formed to talk about everything that did not work. They strived to have solutions to these but unfortunately thought strikes could solve problems.

Remember the Donkey wore a blue hat? He was the chairman of the group who also took the responsibility of looking into all the suggestions of other 5 members, put them together and decide on the solution. Finally, he gave instruction to stage a demonstration in front of the palace. Phew, got arrested again!

So every time these 6 people had meetings, they rotated their hats and started contributing ideas.

In such meeting on the 1st April, they had discussion about what are the 6 roles an effective CSP should play.

All agree that an effect CSP must play the role of a Planner, Loyal Friend, Diligent Learner, Consultant, Personal Manager and Influencers.

1) Planner – CSP should do lots of planning and researching, knowing competitors’ products and their next activities, knowing market demands and customer’s profiles/ behaviour. This will result in easier and clearer planning and path on which directions we should go next.

2) Loyal Friend – CSP will find it easier to communicate with a customer who is also your friend. Thus it is extremely essential to make friends with customers so to understand their needs, personal likings, behaviour, dislikes and preferences. Customers will feel at ease if they see the CSP who is also a friend. Remember, loyal friend (CSP) will attract loyal customers. To establish friendship with someone just step into your shop, CSP may try putting up a casual greeting and conversation for a little while before going into sales promotion.

3) Diligent Learner – CSP learns and reads a lot, for sure. What we have learnt and know today is not something we can apply tomorrow. We take salts and rice but the kids prefer hamburgers. So constant upgrading ourselves with new information, findings, statistics, trends, demands, innovations, ideas and skills can be achieved by doing lots of readings, attending courses and sharing information in discussion groups. Maybe 5% of our earning each month for attending some courses?

4) Consultant – CSP should be a consultant. When customers step into a sales counter, they expect to have someone who can give advice, tell them what the products can do and cannot do. Sometimes give a little mild comparison with the competitor’s products may help to achieve better result. Importantly, ask and ask, ask more questions so we understand the customers needs better. Do you agree?

5) Personal Manager – CSP needs to organize and mange their own time, planning such as goals and vision. We may like to cut down our smoking time, spending telephone conversations, reading newspapers and coffee breaks. Manage our personal life well and our sales management will improve.

6) Influencer – CSP should be able to influence customer’s decisions effectively. Again, to be a great influencer, we need to have the above mentioned criteria such as being a loyal friend who has win trust, good consultant who ask relevant and professional questions, able to produce sufficient knowledge by reading and know more than our neighboring shops due to constant learning and planning. Knowing customers’ need helps to understand customers’ requirement and therefore able to promote the correct products, present the winning features the customers are looking for, set a comfortable pricing and ask them if they want the red or blue?

“Well done!” the tortoise claps his hands.” We now know how we can be a good CSP, so are we going for the demonstration again?”

Meanwhile, in prison, the Donkey penned a book and inside he writes “I am beginning to see a deep hole in front of this path, should I continue straight or make a detour?”

About NLP Courses

We learn what we need to learn. We learn who we were. We learn who we are. We learn who we will be.

Hypnosis is part of NLP teaching.

Happenings in the past define today and today leads to our future.

Our behavior, our fear, our inferiority, our thinking are the result of yesterday’s life. Erase and address them and we shall turn our life anew.

Bring ourselves to stage of sub-consciousness, our mind is relaxed, our brain stays clear, we hear our inner voice. We see our future.

We become a better person. We learn better communication skills. We cement relationships. All because our brain, body and heart speak the same language.

Believing leads to realization.

Move our legs to their position and we think what they think and we understand what they have done. We begin to know why they do and why it happened. We now forgive them.

Eggs will not be broken if we do not want them to crack. She is light though she is heavy.

Your life, a life afresh, a life anew. You will be a different person preparing for a better future.

That is Neuro Linguistic Programming.

You find the reason why it happens today and you will know what will happen tomorrow.

What's your type?

It was on screen, a guy in civilian clothing was running fast and another in police uniform was chasing from behind. Who was the policeman?

SJ is judgmental and fast in judging anything he sees or hears. His quick judgment is based on his past experiences and often not necessary. This also led him to be less receptive to new ideas or less room for creativity. He tells stories from day 1 to 100 and will never miss a single day in between. Sometimes he is long-winded as stories always start from AD 33 but he is organized. He feels uneasy when seeing things not in order and tidy and unconsciously insists on putting things straight. Systematically and lawfully makes him a person who lacks innovation, ideas, intuition, and initiative at times. His world is filled with four equal sided shapes that make him a slow learner and sees things in a confining perspective. He is honest and a loyal peer. He is straightforward when he speaks. He follows instructions and procedures closely and therefore make him a great law-abiding citizen. He will never throw a piece of paper on the floor if the law says it’s an offence. He enjoys numbers and practical theories. He is careful and therefore often need more time. He likes games that will set him thinking. He likes to plan, indeed a good candidate to help run a company in an orderly and no nonsense manner. So wait to receive a lawyer letter if you owe him money. He wears smartly. Please avoid arguing with him if you want to sleep early.

SP runs even before the others do so and realized the race have not even started; thus got disqualified. Artistic and creative in nature, he is always ready to accept new ideas. His ideas are often found outside the square box. Quick in action, higher AQ, all failures will be short as he stands up faster than anyone else. His quick reaction makes him a street smart person but he knocks his head once, twice and still knocking. Quick actions also mean either completing tasks faster than the rest or never complete. He is a good partner for starting a business. When on a shopping spree, he looks for good deals and bargains. He likes to see changes, enjoys anything new and really active, therefore sitting obediently in a classroom will be an eventful occasion. He moves around even when everyone is sitting and listening. He is good in doing public relationship. However, everyone is careful with him as his knife is always ready to slash on anyone’s throat out of impulsiveness. He will make sure you see a pig’s head at your door if you owe him some money. His hands are nimble and work fast with his magic fingers. He is quick in making decisions and not necessary a careful one. When Tiger lost his job, Bunny tells him the world is big and jobs are plentiful and start talking about where to go for their next shopping.

But if you need to borrow some money, go to a NF. He will not put any animal’s head at your doorstep and may even not ask to return. However, he will always remember till his last breath though your life will not be in danger. If you need someone to share your sadness, he is a good listener but please make sure he does not cry louder than you do or do a disappearing act like flying down from the 73rd storey. Sometimes we need a smart person to understand him because he speaks with a quick mind and often a challenge to read his mind and follow closely. Light and soft spoken, he is kind, caring, understanding and always armed with a pair of good listening ears. He cares for everyone around him and anyone he may not even know. A NF may have some problem if ask to lead a team as his kindness is not able to help him when acting on some unwelcoming tasks. He will get himself killed in a fight as he is too kind to hurt anyone. He trusts his intuition more than theories. He will commit suicide if he is asked to follow a set of procedures and theories closely. He never likes to listen to stories starting from AD33 to AD2008 in a step by step manner. He smiles more often and sweet. He is casual in his clothing.

NT is really smart and often smarter than what is needed. He analysts, thinks and weighs when you ask him,” who are you?’ That explains the reason why he is always the last to answer that question and his answer may be ‘Tortoise, maybe, but not now’. NT looks serious most of the time; and seem not easy to know why he is smiling if he does. He looks serious when he is in deep thoughts, always. It takes time for him to follow your words closely as both sides of his brain and ears busy working concurrently. Most NT has a unique trademark when he is in deep analyzing mode. When he wanted to have a date with Catherine, he actually knocks on Stephanie’s door so Catherine would follow. When you cane him, we will dream of you at night and ask for more the next day. However, he is a great professional killer because he leaves no marks or evident behind scenes. So be more careful with him as he seldom raises his voice because he knows you will disappear from this world the next day. Many people do not understand him when he once said, “I know who he is because I do not know him yet.” He is creative in putting up theories, mix them up and quick to tell you that the earth is square because the lady in the forest is wearing leaf, a leaf? However, he thinks and analyst so well that he has many ideas that work and does not. He is a great help in a company that need someone with many innovative ideas and lots of analyzing work, till everyone get paralyzed.

Both were policemen.

The Bunny and Tortoise Race

The Bunny was wearing a yellow hat. The tortoise had a green hat and the tiger wore a black hat. The tortoise just lost a race. Bunny was in high spirit and he challenged the tortoise for another round of the race “want to compete again?”

“Why not? The tortoise hand was rubbing his cheek with his finger and paused a while “well, ok, night, we race!”

The tiger quickly shouted at the tortoise “what? You just lost the race. Look at yourself, small and slow, can you win?”

“I will choose the track”, said the tortoise.

The night came and there were more spectators than any previous race held as it was the first time a race was held in the evening.

As usual, Bunny ran and ran and the tortoise crawled and crawled. Bunny was ahead but stood still when arriving at river side. He could not swim! Two hours later, the tortoise caught up and swam across. The tortoise won this time!

They held another post-race meeting. The tortoise took off the black hat on the tiger’s head and put Bunny’s yellow hat to his “tiger, wear a yellow hat next time.”

“Shit, do not meddle with my hat, ok? It goes along with my outfit well, all black!”

Bunny then said “now I know why you wanted to be held at night. If we are not the first, create another first!”

“Bingo!” The tortoise replied, “but don’t you think we should wear different colour hats each time we meet? It is so boring seeing the same colours each time. Or have 6 people rotating the 6 different colored hats… like should have green, blue, white and red too? More interesting, right?”

“No, No, No, No, No…….we better have the 4 types of people around” the tiger said.

The tortoise shakes his head and said, “Let me tell you why I never say NO when Bunny challenged me, alright? Come to my class tomorrow!”

Being a CSP, there are 6 things we need to avoid.

No 3 : Avoid being too pessimistic and pre-framed with past experience. Some people may behave or look like one who does not buy but they may turn out to be our best customers. Treat every customer equally. Who knows?……….contributed by Tortoise.

No 1: Avoid over working too hard and end up not enough time for more productive sales. When there are fishes and prawns on the table and you have only got time for one serving, which will you choose? The fishes or the prawns?............contributed by Tiger

No 5: Avoid being complacent easily. Always ‘up-size’ a sales. Always push for volumes rather than close tiny and miserable sales. Do not compromise with price cutting war as it will not help in telling the customers that they are actually buying a quality product “Yes! We want more!”……….contributed by Bunny

No 4: Avoid living in this world. We are not telling you to live out of this world but live and plan what are the next things and trends that are going to happen in the industry. Are we prepared for the next changes? Will our products be history and land in museums tomorrow?..................contributed by a new comer, Lion

No 2: Avoid feeling we are the best. There are always better than the best. There is no top salesman and only good customer who make all sales happen…………contributed by another new comer, Horse

At this point the Tiger raised his hand. “Sir, why are the points not in sequence,?”

The lecturer stared at him and replied “If you know you are a SJ, you will know why”

From that day, the Lion and Horse joins the group and included the Donkey too. We have 6 people in the group now and Donkey wears the blue hats in all meetings.

The Hero Journey

This game says we have to place our most valuable items at a
designated place. This game says we will all start running from a
starting point, blind folded. Each round, the game will disqualify
the person who last grab his own item.

So the game starts, everyone place their most valuable items they
have next to the window. Some place their handphones while some
place a pencil. Some has item that is large in size, some has very
small items.

They start to blind fold themselves at a distance about 10 metres
away from the window. `GO' and all start to run and grab their items
as fast as they can.

Student A runs fast and he is first in line. The last lady got
disqualified.

Second round, student A is first again and he takes a shorter time to
reach his item.

Round 3, again student A is first and faster.

At this point student B starts getting faster and catching up.

At round 6, student B emerges as the winner while student A is second
line.

After several more rounds, as participants gets disqualified, now
left 2 winners in the race.

Now, students B starts to get slow but still win student A, his only
competitor. So student A got disqualified.

Student B is now alone in the race. The race does not stop here and
gets more interesting. Now we challenge student B to break his own
record. And interestingly, he gets slower each time we challenge him.

After some rounds, his speed is really slow as compared to his own
record. Then we tell him to find some solutions so to be able to
remove all obstacles around him in order to run faster.

And we ask a `loser' to run and `compete' with him this time.

Several attempts are made and now he is a little faster. And he
decides to remove his blind fold. Now he is fast and reaches his own
record once again.

Lesson 1 : set a goal big and compelling
Lesson 2 : always have a competitor
Lesson 3 : be creative and think out of the box
Lesson 4 : the bigger a goal is the easier to achieve this goal

Important note : the winner at the beginning is often not the final winner.

6 Roles - 6 Thinking Hats

From young, I like to do colouring. I love colours like blue, yellow, white, green, black and red. Yesterday, I learnt to use colours when doing my designing work. Colours create creativities.

Today, I learnt more about those colours. Today I think I learnt that colours can brighten our lives in many more ways. Today, I know colours can help us more ways than what I thought yesterday….colours could do.

Today, I know colours can help us make the right decisions. When needing to make a decision, we think about black, red, white, yellow, green and finally blue. Wearing hats are like taking up responsibilities, duties and roles.

Think about someone wearing a black hat. This person most probably knows about the disadvantages, the down side and all possible negative consequences. He is pessimistic.

Turn to your right and you sense the person with the red hat is emotional, usually feels and sense things from the bottom of his red burning heart. Is he now feeling comfortable?

Wearing the white hat is probably someone very neutral. He will do research, gathering data and finding the various objectives when doing things.

I think yellow is the brightest of all colours. Therefore I guess he must be thinking of all advantages, seeing things in the brightest and positive scenarios.

Oh…..now look at the person who always thinks out of the box. He wears a green hat and he enjoys creativities. He likes to give alternative, different and very out of mind ideas to challenge those ideas already in our minds.

Alright, back to ourselves. A decision maker needs to have many responsibilities, perform numerous duties and put ourselves into different roles. We need to start wearing those black, red, white, yellow and green hats. And finally a blue hat at the right top. Blue is a role to look at all these colours, one by one. Gathering and looking at it carefully, set up procedures, giving instructions and of course, making the right decision, after considering all these coloured hats. If you think you need to revisit these colours, please do so.

Remember black? Black can be colourful. If we always wear a black hat, it is time you think of the other 5 colours.

No decision is complete before looking at all these 6 colours. Get yourself those hats and wear them when you need them. Be ready to use them, always.

The Formula of Successes

We all know a thinker thinks and a prover proves. Next, we all know it is really easy to think and make goals and resolutions. It is challenging to get ourselves start making resolutions. It is more challenging to get our resolutions and goal fulfilled. Do you want your resolutions and goals to be realised? Do you? Do you want it to happen?

Do you really want it to happen? Do you feel it is already happening? Are you prepared and comfortable that it is happening?

There will be a lot of preparation work to be done to get things happen, however small and easy it may be. You need action and preparation. In your mind, are you prepared to succeed? Do you want to succeed? Do you enjoy successes?

The formula of Achieving Successes
1. Practice Good Time and Self Management
2. Plans, Learns and fine tuning from past Experiences
3. Identifying , engaging or creating ready/ new Resources
4. Constant renewal of ideas

Good planning of Successes
1. Set a GOAL
2. Start identifying and defining and ready to meet all CHALLENGES
3. Eliminating all OBSTACLES
4. Put to ACTION
5. Understanding and putting good use of your GIFTS

Eight elements to make your GOAL achievable
1. GOAL must be POSITIVE
2. GOAL must be COMPELLING
3. GOAL must be ECOLOGICAL
4. GOAL must have it CONTEXT
5. GOAL must need EVIDENCE
6. GOAL must feel at ease with our VISUAL, AUDITARY and KINESTHETIC (VAK) sense
7. GOAL must be SELF fulfilling
8. GOAL can be achieved with ready or new RESOURCES around us

GOAL can ONLY be achieved when WE WANT TO SUCEED. DO you want to succeed?
More effort must be used to achieve if we ONLY think we want to succeed a GOAL.
Fine tuning of GOAL needed if we ONLY think of succeeding.
THINK and must remember to ACT.

Let us ask ourselves 3 questions before setting up GOALS:
1. Am I WILLING to achieve and task with a new status of success?
2. Do I deserve to succeed and enjoy success ?
3. Are we afraid to succeed?

Let us set ourselves GOALS and ENJOY the joy of SUCCESS! Let us FEEL SUCCESSFUL while we challenge ourselves to meet successes. Let us welcome success. Let us feel at ease with successes. Let us BE SURE people around us benefit and enjoy our successes. Success will come.

Are you a Thinker or a Prover ?

Are you a thinker or a prover?

A thinker thinks and a prover proves. That’s make the difference.

Most of us unconsciously like to prove what we believe and unsafely believe we need to prove. You do get what you prove and people get what they think they will get.

You may have experienced not able to find your keys and you start asking ‘Where are my keys? Where are my keys?’ You may like to try next time ‘I can find my keys. I can find my keys!’

It will be useful for you to note that it is always better to think than to prove. Think you are a millionaire and one day you may be. Think you will be successful and one day you will be. Think your love one will give you a call at the middle of the night and one day she will call.

Prove you will not make it and you will not succeed. Prove you have only one egg on your breakfast table and you will get just an egg.

Because, thinking and proving leads to action to make it happen whatever you are thinking and proving.

Why not you think you will get a One Million Dollars pay cheque and you will get it one day? Isn’t it better to even feel you have already this One Million Dollars waiting your collection than to keep proving and feeling that it is beyond your reach?

I thought I would write one day and I am writing now. I thought you will read this and you are reading now. If I did not think I would write this and did not think you would read this, will I write? Will you be able to read this? I did not prove I could write but I thought I could write. That’s the difference.

Prove it and it will come true as you prove.

I am still thinking of writing so I write again. Not to prove I can write but I just think I can write.

I attended a Multi Level Marketing seminar recently. It was a 4 hours talk. The presentation was well arranged, the speaker was interesting and the talk was never boring. People surrounding me laughed and enjoyed to their fullest, except myself.

Why did I feel bored while the rest enjoy themselves? It’s about proving.

Multi Level Marketing (MLM) has never been in mind that I can achieve much. MLM is never something I think I can do. MLM is never in my mind it is a good business that we can try on. My MIND has been PROGRAMMED since earlier years that MLM is not something I think is suitable for me. Thus my mind keep proving and proving and still proving Even how interesting the talk is about, how convincing the speaker is, how lucrative this business can bring, my mind still keep proving that it is not something I should go into it.

Keep proving leads to action, actions to find excuses. Such actions will make all things proven. Such actions will lead you further from thinking again. Actions that even the rest of your friends see it and convince that you cannot achieve. People around you will unconsciously help to prove your proving.

Often, people with good experience like to prove they know. That kind of proving is a hindrance to something we really need to learn – to unlearn.

Our world will not exist if no one thinks about creating one. There will not be life if no one thinks of creating life. You cannot speak to people in US with a normal voice volume if Alexandra Bell did not think of a voice machine. You can’t fly to Beijing if you no one thinks human can fly, with the help of a machine. That’s the power of thought..Think and shall happen, think and shall receive, think and shall come true.

I had 2 mobile lines and one was expiring. I did not use that line for more than 6 months. 3 days to reach expiry and I was contemplating if I should continue with the line or to give up. I have this very good friend from Sabah. We have not called each other for at least 2 years. I had lost his contact but I was convinced he still keep mine. Thus I told myself to THINK he would call me within 3 days so I could give up my line without total lost of contact with him.

He called me the next day.

That’s the power of thought. That’s the power of thought. That’s the power of thought.

I thought I could write and I am writing. I thought you would read this, and you are reading.
